Released in 2008, Hot Snack Radio was an early trailblazer in the world of scripted digital content. Commissioned by Showcase TV, the series chronicles the misadventures of two hapless Internet DJs as they fumble towards such fleeting ideals as love, respect, and dollar bills.
The show was briefly developed as a sitcom by Fox Studios in LA, but never made the cut—sadly, the world will never experience a big-budget, high-gloss version of Hot Snack Radio. Indeed, it was made on a micro-budget right before the advent of DSLRs, but nevertheless possesses a certain lo-fi, rakish, oddball charm.
